Hi, I'm Adela, and I want to show you why I want to study interior design. So I built this like a home: every room holds a part of me. Come in.
Long before I knew the words "interior design," I was mixing colors and making things beautiful. In elementary school I kept winning the award for best painting. I danced ballet for years, and last year I performed in my school's play.
Painting, dancing, decorating, choosing colors: for me it was always the same thing, a way to express what I feel.
Soccer has been my constant. I competed in Copa Talento, one of Panama's most competitive youth leagues, plus school and club leagues. I also played basketball and volleyball in major leagues. My dedication earned me trophies, medals and scholarships.
Selected to represent Panama at the Maccabiah Games in Israel, competing against teams from around the world.
From my first Copa Talento trophy as a kid, to MVP of the Macabeadas Juveniles in 2022 and MVP of the Uniliga final in 2025.

In 9th grade, math was my hardest subject. My math teacher was strict and no-nonsense, and she made me realize I wasn't going anywhere without my own effort. So I changed how I studied, one habit at a time. My math grade went from 4.19 to 4.96, and my GPA rose from 4.68 to 4.90.
In the end, that same strict teacher wrote one of my college recommendation letters, recognizing my effort, how I stood up for myself, and how much I improved. This is the part of my story I'm proudest of, because nobody handed it to me.
The assignment was to change someone's life. I chose to redesign the entire home of a family who needed it most.
For my school project Sin Diferencias, I worked with a family in need and redesigned their entire home: new windows, new doors, every room thought through. I also designed new clothes for their daughter and created all the graphic design for the project.
This is where I understood that design isn't decoration. It's how people live.

New bedsWhen my sister Reina got married, I designed her mikve. In Jewish tradition, the mikve is a ritual bath where the bride is spiritually purified the night before her wedding, followed by a celebration with the women closest to her. I wanted something no one had done before. Her name means "queen," so I built a whole "Queens" concept around one color: burgundy.
From the palette to the smallest detail, every choice told one story. It was my first full concept, start to finish. I also did her hair and makeup for every one of her wedding events.
A sukkah is an outdoor hut that Jewish families build and eat in during Sukkot, a week-long holiday. I designed and decorated the one at my home, and every day I hosted a different group of guests there. I planned the menus and cooked everything myself.
I planned a surprise birthday for my brother-in-law, with a cocktail workshop led by a mixologist. I also cooked all the food and desserts myself.
I started AY Studio, my own makeup and hair business, because I saw it as art: color, blending, balance.
Every client has a different face, a different style, a different taste, so no two looks are ever the same. I listen first, then bring out their best features, so they see the best version of themselves in the mirror.
A home works the same way. Every family has its own way of living and its own story. Understand the people first, then bring out the best of what is already there. AY Studio taught me that, and it is how I want to design every space.

Mokaccino hired me to do the hair and makeup for every model in the photo shoot for their jeans and clothing launch.

Teaching a class
Training with a proEvents, celebrations and everyday glam. Every look is made for the person wearing it.
I led my school's habit-change campaigns, making sure every student understood and felt part of the changes. I worked directly with the principal to find a middle ground: students who felt heard, and a school that reached its goals.
I've always led my class, organizing, speaking up, and getting people moving in the same direction.

The art I made as a kid. The field where I learned to never give up. The study where I redesigned myself. A family's new home. My sister's celebration. My clients' faces. A whole school, working together.
That's why I want to study Interior Design: to keep creating spaces that change how people feel and how they live.
This house isn't finished yet. The next room is the one I'll build in college.
